What this website collects, why, and who helps us handle it. Last updated October 10, 2026.
Who we are
This website is run by Unique Outdoor Lighting, based in Bridgewater, NJ. If you have a question about this policy or your information, email davidk@uniquenj.com or call (908) 540-6446.
This website is built and maintained by Fishtown Development, who can access site data only to run and support it.
What we collect
When you request a quote or contact us
Our quote and contact forms ask for your name, email address, phone number, property address, and details about your project. We also record which page you sent the form from and, if you arrived from an ad or campaign link, which campaign it was.
When you use the chat assistant
The chat assistant on this site stores the messages you send and the replies you receive, under a random conversation id. If you leave your name, email or phone number in the chat so we can follow up, we store those the same way as a form request.
When you browse
We count page views with our own simple counter. It records the page, the referring website and any campaign tags. It does not store your IP address: it keeps a code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day, so we can count visitors without knowing who they are.
We also use Google Analytics and the Meta pixel, described below. Like most websites, our hosting provider also processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
When you sign up for texts
Our text messaging program runs through FieldPulse. The opt-in form and how text messages are handled are covered in our SMS terms and privacy policy and on the SMS opt-in page.
How we use it
- To reply to you, prepare a quote, and do the work you ask for.
- To answer questions through the chat assistant.
- To understand how people use the site and improve it.
- To measure and improve our advertising on Google, Facebook and Instagram.
- To protect the site from spam and abuse.
Analytics and advertising
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit, how they found us, and when someone submits a form, taps our phone number or opens the chat. We use this information to measure our Google ads. Google Analytics uses cookies. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Meta pixel and Conversions API. We use the Meta pixel, a tool from the company that runs Facebook and Instagram, to measure our ads and to show our ads to people who have visited this site. The pixel records the pages you visit and uses cookies. When you submit a quote or chat request, our server also tells Meta that a request was made. That message includes your name, email, phone number, city and zip code in hashed (scrambled) form, along with your IP address, browser details and Meta's cookie ids, so Meta can match the request to an ad. You can manage the ads you see in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with the service providers named on this page, and with Google and Meta as described above.

The chat assistant
The chat assistant is automated. Your messages are processed by an AI model through a third party provider. Please do not enter sensitive information such as payment card numbers, passwords or health details. The assistant can make mistakes, so check anything important with our team.
Cookies and browser storage
Google Analytics and the Meta pixel set their own cookies. The site also stores a few small items in your browser: the campaign you arrived from (cleared when you close the tab), whether you have already seen the opening animation, and whether you have closed our cookie notice. You can clear or block cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. The site still works if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep information as long as we need it to provide our services and follow up on your request, or as long as the law requires.

To ask what information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, email davidk@uniquenj.com. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on the request.
