What is custom holiday and event light design?

Custom Holiday and Event Light Design is one of the holiday & event lighting services we install across New Jersey. A custom holiday design lays out lights for one specific building and its planting, measured on site, rather than fitting a standard length of strand to whatever it happens to reach.

How do we install it?

Every run is measured on the building before any product is ordered, because guessing a roofline length leaves a gap at the last gable.

Bulb spacing and color are held consistent across a single elevation, since two spacings on one roofline read as a repair rather than a design.

Attachment points are chosen to suit the gutter, shingle or masonry they land on, so nothing is fastened into a surface it will damage.

The layout is drawn per property and kept on file, which makes the following season an install rather than a fresh survey.

Amp draw is calculated per run and totaled per outlet, so no exterior receptacle carries more than its breaker will hold on a cold night with wet leads.

Bulb size and lead spacing are matched to the architectural line each strand follows, since a heavy bulb on a delicate gable overpowers the line it is meant to trace.

Trees and shrubs in the display are wrapped from the base upward at a constant density, because a bright canopy above a bare trunk reads as unfinished work.

Attachment products are chosen for winter temperatures, as a clip designed for summer patio use turns brittle at freezing and pops off in the first storm.

What does a bad install look like?

Stock strand lengths stretched to fit. The spacing changes partway along the roof, the last run comes up short, and the corner sits dark.

Two different bulb sizes carried across one gable. The eye reads the change as a repair splice, and the whole elevation looks half-finished from the street.

A single extension cord daisy-chained through three heavy strands. The plug melts under load, and the whole run drops on the coldest night of the season.
